Monday 28th May sees trials to be held at racing headquarters- Royal Randwick.
The team tomorrow will take over 5 runners, here is a little run down on each of them:
Heat 10 @ 9:45am 2yr old Fillies
Deliya– 2yr old maiden filly by Eurozone out of french mare Delisha (Highest Honour) having her second start in a trial for the stable. Her first trial was back on 29th January when she ran toward the rear of the field. To be ridden by Jeff Penza and will wear the infamous colours of Dato Tan Chin Nam worn by champions such as Saintly and So You Think.
Heat 12 @ 10:05am 2yr old Colts & Geldings
Gweilo Tantrum– 2yr old Cape Blanco gelding out of Zabeel mare Annzabeel who is also stepping out in his second trial for the stable. His first public appearance was also on the 12th Feb at the Randwick Trials where he placed 4th. Gweilo Tantrum will also wear the colours of Tricolours Racing & Syndications and will be ridden by Jeff Penza.
Heat 13 @ 10:15am 2yr old Colts & Geldings
Royal Witness- 2yr old that is returning to the trials as a Gelding by Star Witness out of Shamardal mare Confidential Queen, Royal Witness has had the two starts and been unplaced in both outings. In his last trial back in January he ran 3rd behind quality galloper Performer. Will also wear the colours of Tricolours Racing & Syndications with Jeff Penza in the saddle.
Heat 14 @ 10:25am 2yr old Colts & Geldings
Prince Camelot- an attractive 2yr old colt by Camelot out of New Zealand mare Poste Restante, making this guy a half brother to the yearling Declaration Of War x Poste Restante filly that John is also training. First trial back in January where he finished back in the field, stepping out again today as he continues to progress through his preparation for the stable. Will be wearing the John Sargent Racing stable colours (Black with Yellow Shamrocks and Quartered cap) ridden by Jeff Penza
Heat 15 @ 10:35am 3yr old + Maiden
Brave Story- Lovely bay 3yr old colt by Stratum out of Rosmarino having his first public appearance for the stable and his first start in a trial. The horse has recently joined the stable and John has been spending the time learning about the colt. Having had a jump out the colt has impressed John as he has progressed through is preparation and will now have his first trial so that John can get a gauge on his progress. Will be wearing Pink with brown diamonds, white sleeves and a pink cap with a brown hoop, also ridden by Jeff Penza.
