Tornado Gal scores her Hat Trick

Promising 3 yr old staying filly- Tornado Gal, made her city debut on Saturday 30th June at Rosehill Gardens in the TAB Highway Handicap over 1800m. Having previously won her last two starts since joining the stable at Goulburn and then going on to show dominance at Hawkesbury, the daughter of Hard Spun was relaxed in the yard before heading out as one of the fancied chances for the race.

After the jump, our girl settled nicely in a prime position behind the pace, midfield on the rail. At the 600m the field begins to bunch up and some begin to make their moves on the leaders, Tornado Gal and Jay Ford maintain their pace and edge closer to the leaders staying within striking distance on the swing for home. At the 400m mark an opening on the inside of leader La Chica Bella opens and Ford takes the opportunity. With 250 to go, Tornado Gal shows her turn of foot and digs deep to take the running and score her hatrick of wins this preparation.

John believes that she is a promising staying filly and one to watch in the future.
