Racing today comes to us from the South West suburb of Warwick Farm today where in the not so near future, the next generation of racing stock will be sold at the Inglis Ready to Race sales going under the hammer to some of the most astute eyes in the industry. Team Sargent saddles up the one runner today, resuming promising stayer Equipped (More Than Ready x Zona).
Equipped’s last start was back in May when running second at Scone before being sent for a nice long spell after a long preparation that saw him finish in the placings numerous times on his outings continuing to build a nice bank account for his connections. Since returning to the stables, Equipped has stepped out in two barrier trials, the most recent being at home base on 28th September when he showed readiness to head back to the races by finishing a nice 2nd.
To be ridden today by apprentice Robbie Dolan, Equipped will line up in Race 3 Pride of Dubai @ Coolmore Australia Handicap over the 1400m on the course proper. Equipped’s record is currently 21 starts for 2 wins, 8 seconds and 7 thirds.
