Promising young stayer Home Ground (High Chaparral x First Look) galloped this morning in company going the Melbourne way of running (Anti-Clockwise) ahead of his upcoming trip south next week.
John has been preparing the 3 year old gelding to take his place on Wednesday 24th October in the Geelong Classic over 2200m with Ben Melham aboard. This is Home Ground’s final race before his grand final which is the Victorian Derby during the Melbourne Spring Carnival.
