Gerry’s Katie to Debut

On Sunday Wyong Race Club will host their Stella One race day with gates opening at 12pm, with a 8 races on the card for the adults to enjoy while there will be face painting and jumping castle for those not yet old enough to have a punt.

John will send up the solo runner to represent the team on the day, promising 3 year old filly Katie Did it (Congrats x What Katie Did). Originally nominated for the Randwick trials that were called off on Monday due to the rain and then being balloted out of the trials that eventually were relocated to Warwick Farm. As anyone in racing knows that plans can change at very short notice, the eye catching chestnut filly was then nominated and accepted to take her place at Wyong.

Katie Did It has been showing good ability in her morning gallops and while the race will be treated like a barrier trial, the filly has the opportunity to show her potential under race conditions along with earning some prizemoney for connections- Gerry Harvey.

Race 1 @1:20pm Carlton Draught On Tap 3yr Maiden Plate
#7 to be ridden by Jason Collett

We wish Gerry all the best on the debut of this young filly.
