Promising Runs For Stable

The team (both equine and human) have survived the big day of racing that we had on Saturday with runners in two states over 3 different tracks.

Kicking off the weekend was STICK ‘EM UP breaking her maiden in Race 4 at Canberra over the 2000m under the steering of jockey Robbie Dolan, timing the filly by Dundeel’s run to perfection hitting the front and line strongly. She has now booked her place on the float to head down to Melbourne to line up in the Kennedy Oaks on Thursday 7th November, Tommy Berry has been booked to take the ride.

Our 2 yr old Bullpoint colt ENCOUNTABULL made a very eye catching debut run in Race 1 at Moonee Valley (Inglis Banner) over 1000m. From the wide gate was taken back in the running before given clear room and let down very strongly under the urgings of jockey James McDonald. After jumping off McDonald was very pleased with the colt’s efforts stating that if we had drawn better then the colt wins the race. Encountabull has now headed out to have a short spell ahead of making his return to the stable. Next target for him will now be the Inglis Nursery worth $500,000 over the 1000m again at Royal Randwick on the 14th December.

Proven stable stayer LUVALUVA showed that she was on the come back as she put in a solid effort and ran 2nd in the Filante Handicap at Randwick, over a distance well short of her best (1400m). Tim Clark happy with the run gives John confidence that the star mare is on track to line up in the Hot Danish Stakes on the 9th November at Rosehill before then taking her place in the $1 million “The Gong” at Kembla on the 23rd November.

Congratulations to all connections associated with the mentioned runners and to the team who continue to work tirelessly to keep the horses happy, healthy and presenting well on race days.
