Former NZ Mare Arrives Safely in Melbourne

Yesterday afternoon under some dark skies and a drizzling of rain, the stable loaded up one runner headed down to Melbourne to race at the iconic track, Flemington on Saturday.

Former New Zealand mare LE CASTILE who has impressed John since coming into the stable on the back of a luckless campaign in Queensland has headed down to Melbourne looking for a surface that is more suitable than current conditions in Sydney. The stunning grey mare by Dalghar has arrived safe and well into the stables of Team Snowden who will look after the mare due to the current COVID restrictions in Sydney preventing any staff accompanying her.

Le Castile will start from barrier 4 in her first start over ground (2000m) in Australia with Michael Dee in the saddle in Race 4 on the card. The stable has a good record for sending single horses down and having Dee on board as the last time we did this we shocked everyone when winning the Ballarat Magic Millions Clockwise Classic in November last year.

Good Luck to the connections based in New Zealand.
