Tuesday Mornings at Royal Randwick is gallop morning, which allows for the runners for Saturday’s race meetings to have their final gallops ahead of respective races. In the early hours of the final winter morning, the stable saddled up ELIZABEEL and FOUR MOVES AHEAD.
Elizabeel who finished 11th in the Toy Show Quality last week will step out in at Wyong on Friday in the Listed Mona Lisa over 1350m. The mare by NZ sire Power had her final gallop this morning with Kerrin McEvoy in the saddle who was happy with how she worked and will be aboard on Friday.
Four Moves Ahead has come on well from her 3rd placing in the Silver Shadow Stakes. This morning she was put through her paces over 800m on the course proper with jockey Nash Rawiller in the saddle. Nash unable to take the ride last start due to injury was impressed with how the Snitzel filly worked this morning and believes that come Saturday she will be close to peak fitness and should run another honest race in the Group 2 Furious Stakes over 1200m.
