With The Star Championship Day 1 just around the corner Randwick Racecourse is a buzz with excitement in the air. The best of the best will descend onto Royal Randwick Racecourse this weekend to participate in some of the worlds best racing.
With such a thrill around it is absolutely incredible to announce that John Sargent Racing will be sending a total of 8 runners to the first day of the Championships. This truly is a remarkable effort by John with only a small stable capacity these 8 runners make up 24% of our stable which shows the hard work and dedication from everyone involved.
So Dazzling takes her spot in the Group 2 2600m Schweppes Chairmans Quality with Rachel King Aboard.
The Group 3 2000m TAB Adrian Knox Stakes sees some of the stablers very promising three year old fillies line up with Harlow Mist with Reece Jones Aboard, Last Straw with Tom Sherry to ride and Ocean Diva with Andrew Adkins to ride.
With some luck the feature race of the day; The Star Doncaster Mile will see Palmetto go around. Palmetto is currently 4th emergency but we are very much hoping he can make the field come Saturday with our apprentice Molly Bourke riding him in her first Group 1 race.
The Group 1 ATC Australian Derby sees two of our stables top class three year olds go around with Glad You Think So to be ridden by Rachel King and Hooligan Tommy to be ridden by Jason Collett both taking their place in the time honoured Derby.
To round out the stables day in the Group 3 1200m P J Bell Stakes Unique Ambition who was a very impressive winner last start and Rachel King stays aboard this very exciting filly.
