Today’s Runners

Today will see the JSR float head down to the Nation’s capital with two runners to represent at the twilight meeting with the first race jumping at 2.10pm.

Race 8 – Affinity Electrical Technologies Canberra Mile will see Alamosa mare TINKERMOSA line up on the back of an honest run race at Caulfield earlier in the month. Since returning John has changed her training routine with putting her over some jumps which has proven successful in the past for him. Also a change in gear will hopefully see the mare back in the winners circle. She will be ridden by Jeff Penza who has two rides for two wins on her with the most recent being the Belle Of The Turf at Gosford.

Race 9 – EPC Solar Canberra Guineas Preview over the 1400m sees the return of the promising 3 year old Group Placed filly FOXBOROUGH. She has had two recent barrier trials and has done well in both occasions. She should run a nice race under the riding of Tom Sherry.

Also representing the team today at the second last Night race meeting at Canterbury is another 3 year old filly – HAVIN’ FUN. She is fresh up after her last start run earlier in the month at the same track over 1100m. A slight step up in distance to the 1250m she has to overcome a wide draw in a strong field but has improved in fitness after her previous start, so should run a good race. Havin’ Fun will be ridden by Rachel King.

Good Luck to all associated with today’s runners and hopefully we can add some more wins to the team tally.
