Golden Move Toward Slipper

Our unbeaten Snitzel filly FOUR MOVES AHEAD stepped out in heat 7 at the Rosehill barrier trials to ensure all is still well on the path toward the Golden Slipper on March 20.

The half-sister to black type mare Emeralds, impressed early on in her career when first seen at barrier trials back in October of last year where she finished 2nd in her first outing, before going on to win her next two trials in dominant style.

Four Moves Ahead made her racing debut back in January on the Kensington track in a 2yr maiden handicap over the 1000m. Showing that her trial form was no fluke, she was able to settle in the run and when produced with clear running was able to grind through her gears to break her maiden by just under 3 lengths with Tommy Berry in the saddle.

Due to a slight cold, the filly has not been seen since her win and has had to undergo a course of medications which are now complete. The trial this morning was crucial for John to ensure that the promising filly is well and still on track for a big campaign.

Jumping strongly from the gates, Four Moves Ahead found the front of the field nicely and was able to show her cruising speed over the 900m winning the heat in 0:54.87 under the riding of Tim Clark.
