Positive Runs Expected At Hawkesbury

As the countdown to Christmas and the end of what has been a tough 2021 continues, racing tomorrow is hosted by Hawkesbury Race Club with a 7 race card meeting.

The stable will send around two runners looking to continue the patch of hot form for the stable after the impressive win by Pecuniary Interest in the Midway Handicap on Saturday at Royal Randwick.

Pride Of Dubai mare AL SAHARA (main picture) will step out in Race 3 – Westbury Constructions Class 1 & Maiden Plate over the 1800m. After a disappointing run last start, although having excuses for the poor performance she has come through the run well and will be looking to return to winning form that she showed two starts ago at Scone. Ashley Morgan who piloted the mare to victory at Scone will jump back aboard and will look to use the advantage of a good gate (barrier 3) to get a more positive run and be close enough in the finishing stages.

Our other runner for the day, MY SNOW QUEEN steps out in Race 6 – Royal Richmond Hotel Fillies & Mares Benchmark 64 Handicap over the distance of 1400m. The promising Star Turn filly is also looking to find her competitive provincial form again after a disappointing start last time out at Warwick Farm. She is fit and well ready to head into tomorrow’s assignment with the stable expecting a much better performance. Jumping from barrier 2, Winona Costin will be looking to use the draw to put the filly in a handy position so that she can be competitive in the final stages looking to record another win for the connections.

Both horses raced in partnership with Colin & Meagan Branthwaite from Jazcom Thoroughbred along with some friends, we wish all the connections Good Luck and hopefully they can deliver some early Christmas cheer.
