Mayrose Headed to Final

Connections of 3 year old Pride Of Dubai filly MAYROSE are already enjoying a successful preparation with their filly already recorded two wins and a second from just the 3 starts, looks to have plenty more to come.

Since her racing debut at Goulburn back in August 2021 when she ran very erratically but still managed to run second. At her second start she put on a better display although still showing signs of racing greenly recording another second to her name. At just her 3rd career start she was given a chance at Mid-Week Metro grade and didn’t disappoint when winning a maiden over the 1100m with Jason Collett in the saddle.

Prior to yesterday’s assignment the promising filly put together back to back wins when she resumed at Canterbury at attractive odds when running on strongly down the outside over 1200m and then again under very heavy conditions over the 1100m at Randwick on the 26th February. The task yesterday was simply to finish in the top 2 and the filly didn’t disappoint when she finished 2nd behind locally trained galloper Never Talk.

Mayrose will now head to the final which is to be run of Day 2 of The Championships (9th April) and worth $500,000 in prizemoney, former WA jockey William Pike has been booked for the ride. The lightly raced filly has just had the 7 career starts with 3 wins and 3 seconds to her name, banking connections just over $160,000 in prizemoney.

Congratulations to connections and Good Luck in the final.
