Yesterday the team was represented at Hawkesbury with three runners, resulting in a 4th (Off The Ground), 2nd (Think It Over) and a Win with popular stable horse Ladies’ Gem victorious in the 5th on the card.
Sent out as an outsider chance at $51, jockey Rachael Murray settled the 3 year old gelding by Helmet toward the rear of the field before making her move with 350m left to run. Responding well to the urgings of Murray Ladies’ Gem gained a clear run on the outside storming to the line to snatch the win.
After returning to scale Rachael was very pleased with how the horse has returned from his recent spell and his run in the race.
