The Mist graduates to Class 2

We had the one runner representing the team yesterday down at Nowra. Race 2 saw the flashy grey stayer The Mist line up with his old mate Keagan Latham in the saddle for the 2200m journey.

Jumping from the widest gate, they were set a challenge early on to cross over and find some cover, eventually settling in a mid-field position. A race that contained a mid-race swoop with Tokyo King taking off around the field at the 1100m. With 800m to run Keagan edges The Mist to third just behind the leaders.

As the field swung for home, The Mist took up the running and was strong to the line, winning by 2.3 lengths and keeping his Nowra 2200m stats as 2 wins from 2 attempts.

John is pleased with how well the progressive stayer has pulled up this morning and will now look toward another race in around 2 weeks.

Congratulations to all the connections and the staff that work hard to keep him and all the horses happy, healthy and well presented on race day.
